Bunnik, The Netherlands, 9 February 2012 – The BAM Clough joint venture has been awarded a contract by international oil and gas service company Bechtel for the design and construction of the Chevron-operated Wheatstone LNG product loading facility and tug berths near Onslow, Western Australia. The contract is valued at approximately €325 million (approximately AUD 400 million).

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 7 February 2012 – The BAM Clough Joint Venture has received a letter of intent from JGC Corporation, KBR and Chiyoda Corporation joint venture (JKC-JV), for a contract valued at EUR 110 million (AUD 140 million). The scope of work involves the design and construction of the Ichthys LNG Project Module Offloading Facility (MOF) near Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia. The MOF will be constructed as part of the INPEX-operated Ichthys LNG facility, being developed in Darwin. It is a key facility that will be used to offload modules being supplied under other subcontracts to assemble the LNG liquefaction plant.

Sheffield, 6 February 2012 - The UK nuclear industry is set to receive a major helping hand from wind power. BAM Construction is weeks away from completion of a major development on the Advanced Manufacturing Park for the University of Sheffield. The scheme includes the Nuclear Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre, which opened in October, and the Knowledge Transfer Centre. The Nuclear AMRC will be used to develop techniques to allow UK manufacturers to provide key components for nuclear power stations around the world.

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 2 February 2012 – Olympic Park Legacy Company has awarded BAM Nuttall (the UK civil engineering company of Royal BAM Group nv) contracts to ‘Clear, Connect and Complete’ the Olympic Park. BAM Nuttall has won two separate contracts to deliver €90 million (£76 million) of improvement work in the North Park and South Park areas of the site.

With this third office in China, the consultancy and engineering firm reinforces its presence in the country to support the further growth of Tebodin in China. The existing offices in Shanghai and Guangzhou grew significantly in 2011.

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 24 January 2012 - BAM Deutschland AG, the German non-residential building company of Royal BAM Group, has been awarded the contract for the design and construction of the expansion of the offices of the European Southern Observatory (ESO - the European Organisation for Astronomical Research in the Southern Hemisphere) in Garching, thirteen kilometres north-east of Munich. The project value is approximately €24 million. The project will be completed by BAM Deutschland in August 2013.

Bunnik, The Netherlands, 23 January 2012 - Wayss & Freytag Ingenieurbau, the German tunnel specialists of Royal BAM Group, have been awarded a contract in Germany to the value of €420 million for the construction of a 35 kilometre-long underground waste water pipeline. The project is part of a large-scale modernisation of the waste water system of the Emschergenossenschaft water management association.

The Hague, The Netherlands, 17 January 2012 – AkzoNobel Industrial Chemicals has selected consulting and engineering firmTebodin for the Engineering, Procurement and Construction management (EPCm) of a new chlorine plant in Frankfurt into state-of-the-art membrane electrolysis technology. The new plant will increase current annual production in Frankfurt by approximately 50 percent, to 250 kilotons of chlorine and 275 kilotons of caustic lye. The energy consumption per tonne of product will be improved by nearly 30 percent.
