BAM Utiliteitsbouw operates on the Dutch non-residential construction market, with about 1,800 employees, 8 regional companies and the Major Projects business unit, which operates at a national level. This new company is managed by the management team of the former Müller-Altvatter, which proved in recent years that it could operate successfully in the German nonresidential construction market. With an turnover of approximately €500 million BAM Deutschland will be one of the leading companies in the non-residential construction sector in Germany. BAM Civiel specialises in the design, development, construction, management and maintenance of large, small, complex and straightforward civil and industrial structures. Its work is predominantly in the Netherlands, although BAM Civiel is also active elsewhere in Western Europe in a few speciality areas (such as sunken tunnels) on a project-by project basis. BAM Civiel has approximately 1,000 employees and is based in Gouda, which is also the location of the office of BAM Civiel Projecten, the business unit that focuses on large-scale multidisciplinary contracts. BAM Civiel has regional offices in Amsterdam, Breda, Zuidbroek and Elsloo. BAM Civiel also offers its clients the know-how and expertise of the specialist business units BAM Grondtechniek (ground engineering), BAM Betontechnieken (concrete technology), BAM Project Support and BAM Civiel Prefab Beton (prefab concrete). BAM Infratechniek (civil engineering technology) specialises in designing, constructing and servicing pipe and cable networks for telecommunications, data, gas, water, electricity and heat. The business also occupies a strong position on the market for traffic systems and tunnel installations. BAM Infratechniek also builds large scale above-ground industrial piping systems. The operating company is closely involved in many sustainability projects in the Netherlands, partly through its special division that designs and installs heat and cold storage systems.
