CSR

For management and employees at Royal BAM Group, sustainability is at the very heart of everything they do. The Group is aware that building activities change the landscape, which can cause both positive and negative reactions. The projects carried out by BAM for its customers in markets such as housing, schools, health care and transport are fundamentally important for the quality of the living environment and therefore have an effect on the natural environment and on society as a whole. This also means that future generations will be affected by the Group’s activities, which is why we have firmly embedded sustainability into all our operations.

We have drawn up the BAM Business Principles based on its strategic agenda. The principles were agreed with representatives of the Group’s main stakeholders.

BAM has been publishing a separate Sustainability Report since 2007, which allows the Group to report as transparently as possible about sustainability issues and corporate social responsibility. The sustainability report is compiled in accordance with the guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). Royal BAM Group believes that its Sustainability Report 2010 satisfies the requirements of level B+ of the GRI guidelines.
